Penn State Dining received an A+ on Peta2’s Vegan Report Card this year.
Due to the continuous efforts of food services to provide numerous vegan options to enhance students’ dining options, they received an outstanding score from Peta2’s Vegan Report Card. Peta2 analyzed various questionnaires and dining hall menus before giving Penn State Dining Services the vegan friendly score.
Penn State Dining’s score has continued to improve over the years as more vegan options have been added to their menus. Penn State Dining received a B on the vegan report card in 2017 and has boasted large improvement in this yearly rating.
Keeping on pace with the initiatives of many colleges around the United States, the number of Universities and Colleges receiving an A score has more than tripled from 2013. Vegan menu options can not only be healthier, but can also be more environmentally friendly. These factors account for the main reason veganism is increasing in popularity.
